Targeting “Gateway Moms” who enjoy light online games and tend to buy chocolate as an everyday treat for themselves and their children, the Indiana Jones M&M’S® Mint Crisp Adventure cross-promoted Limited Edition Mint Crisp M&M’S® and the release of Indiana Jones 4: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Users navigated their character through a dark maze, occasionally stumbling upon '‘micro games’' that combined hand-eye coordination with mental challenges. Peppered with visual references to the film, it seamlessly wove product placement into the world of Indiana Jones and went on to win a 2008 Web Award.
